The story for the mask theater course during summer 2011 in Hannover, FZH Vahrenwald was based on my personal experience where many wonderful objects were sold at a flea market from the apartment of my father. The performance tells the story about travelers from Hannover, Vahrenwald, were the objects become alive and an old couple finds the candle holder and the chalice, reviving memories from the past. They delight in observing themselves as young couple in an intimit dance, not noticing the time travelers and fairies, who are spirits, announcing the rites of passage involving all in expressive dances of celebration, all choreographed by Olumuyiwa Ojo. The musical composition by Almanach involved much conflict and discussion and the final solution of a masterpiece of incredible theatrical value. This summer, 2011,in Germany, I created the performance "The Transformation Travelers" with 22 people from various parts of the world. This was a highlight of the exhibition:”The Imaginary Dimension” with odd shaped paintings of my father’s work: Hans-Ulrich Buchwald, part of the "Strasse der Kunst" (Street of the Arts ) at the Kreismuseum in Syke, organized by director Ralf Vogeding.
The process of the production was captured by the poet and photographer Addi Kremer and the film team www.FZHVahrenwald.de under the direction of George Speckert and Magaret Michaelsen.
